Links
Listed are some of the sites that I visit on a regular basis. I find value from all of them and I hope you do as well. I will update the list occasionally. If you have a site that you think I would like, please send me a message using Twitter. You can find me HERE.
People I Dig:
Freezerburns: Gregory Ng is the host of this amazing web show about frozen food.
Naoshi Yamauchi: Naoshi is an analytics savant. He was my sidekick at Lulu, but has since gone on to join Brooks Bell Interactive as the Director of Analytics. His web analytics website is updated with some amazing information.
Kevin Kepple: Kevin is a Washington, DC, based artist who grew up in rural southwestern Pennsylvania.
Simon Andolina: Simon is a graphic designer formerly based in Chicago and Amsterdam (his Disneyland).
Ben Wills: Kind of hard to describe Ben, but he once drove around North America in a van for 3 months. He also is a link building geek and lives in Austin, Texas.
Karl Sakas: Karl talks marketing, business and life.
Al Scillitani: Al’s blog talks about online marketing. You might know him, he is the guy who whined about Google making all kinds of changes and they sent him a binky pack of Advil.
Sites I Dig:
Queen of the Pavement: Great photos from a former Raleighite, now in San Francisco.
A Guy Walks into 365 Bars: Writer Marty Wombacher is visiting 1 bar a day for 365 days. He’s awesome.
Merge Records: Home of the Arcade Fire, SuperChunk, Portastatic and most of the music I dig. I sold my old house to Mac from SuperChunk.
CyTunes: Great live tracks from bands and all proceeds go to benefit the memory of Cy Rawls (All proceeds from CyTunes will be donated to the Tisch Brain Tumor Center)
Goodnight, Raleigh:An awesome photography site. I have a fetish about the history and architecture around the early 1900′s. This site, founder by John Morris (who took the picture of me that I use for my avatar), uses new and old photos of Raleigh to show what a great city it was/is. Some of the before/after pictures are amazing.
Set On Stun:Video Game Marketing, Culture, Analysis and Geekery website edited by JP Sherman. Excellent articles and content.
North Carolina Crafts Gallery: The Crafts Gallery, which is located on the corner of Weaver Street and West Main Street in Carrboro offers a wide assortment of items handcrafted by North Carolina artisans. Owned by my cousin-in-law Sara Latta Gress.
