A great book from a guy who writes about sports and everything else (mostly food, adult content and going to the bathroom) over at Deadspin and Kissing Suzy Kolber. The Postmortal book has none of that stuff. What is does have is a great story about the human race finding a cure for aging. People live forever (unless they get cancer or shot, etc.)...

Bing Inflating Search Numbers Through Promotion?
Bing has been running a promotion that rewards searchers with points that can be used to purchase items such as gift cards, vacations, contest entries and more. I have redeemed points earned through my Bing searches for Xbox Live points.
Over the past few months Bing’s PR staff, and some search professionals, have praised the search engine for increasing search share, but how much of it...

Create Tight AdGroups: Don’t target more than one audience in an adgroup. You might be selling the same product or service, but creating ads specifically to a group will help conversion.
Adjust Your Ads: Your ads might get clicks at first,...

How often brands post to Facebook, and the... →
Interesting post by Ignite Social Media on the top 50 brands they identified and how often they post to Facebook.
The Top 5 Most Frequent
National Geographic (145)
iTunes (119)
MTV (108)
Xbox (77)
DC Shoes (70)
I personally don’t follow those companies (and I have most brands hidden from my feed), but the #s are interesting as to how often they communicate via their Facebook pages and...

A very interesting post/video from SEOMOZ. Rand discusses the effectiveness of those article spamming tools. I personally don’t recommend anyone use them as I have not seen any evidence that they work well.

ShareFile On Inc 500 Again
The past two years have been pretty amazing here at ShareFile. We moved from two small offices into one large office and then expanded into even more space. We went from 17 employees to around 80 (with 17 more starting in September). We were also named to the Inc 500 list of America’s fastest growing companies two years in a row. While one of our major competitors, Box.net, might get more...
