New Way To Quote Tweets

Twitter unleashed a new way to Embed tweets into a web page. Simply head over to Blackbird Pie on the Twitter Media page and enter the URL of the tweet you wish to embed, copy and paste into a webpage…and get a a great looking tweet to post.

    Seriously, I think this is a brilliant move on Twitter’s part. With enough quotes getting direct link love to your name, Twitter could quickly become the default ranking presence over facebook, linkedin or even your own blog as a search result. Twitter has the perfect reach to strengthen its own position in the SERP based on personal brand. Just one more reason not to be a jerk on twitter.

    I assume the SEO benefit is greater with Twitter’s?

    Blackbird Pie is a nice tool but the code doesn’t render properly in WordPress. Perhaps that will change with WP 3.0?
